ASCO offers a complete line of standard and custom commercial lighting control system panels designed to meet all of your lighting control  needs.

The ASCO 641 commercial lighting control system is designed to be used for area lighting controls, such as the automatic and manual on/off control of parking lot lighting, signs, building exterior lights, security lighting, interior safety lighting, and recreational lighting areas.

There are three standard models to choose from. All standard panels feature the ASCO 918 electrically operated, mechanically held lighting contactor. This contactor is specifically designed to be used for lighting applications, including metal halide, mercury vapor, quartz halogen, tungsten or fluorescent lighting. Because the contactor is mechanically held, the panels provide quieter operation with a longer life expectancy than electrically held contactors would allow.

The Models 641 A, 641 S and 641 AS are available with 4, 8 or 12 poles contactors. NEMA 1 enclosures are standard. NEMA 12 and 3R enclosures are also available.

The model 642 is identical to the model 641, except that it utilizes the ASCO 920 remote controlled switch, enabling control of a sub panel of up to 225 amps. (Please contact us for price and availability of the ASCO 642 lighting control system)

 

STANDARD FEATURES

  • All models Feature ASCO 918 or 920 RC Contactors. (electrically operated, mechanically held, designed for lighting applications)

  • Quieter operation (no AC hum).

  • Longer life expectancy for contactor.

  • Fully rated for all types of lighting loads, including metal halide, mercury vapor, quartz halogen, tungsten, and fluorescent.

  • All controls, except for photocell, in common Type 1 enclosure (Type 12, 3R, 4, and 4X enclosures are also available).

  • ASCO 918 available in 4, 8, or 12 pole.

  • Digital time clock with battery backup (Models 641A, 641 AS).

  • ASCO 918 & 920 visual position indicators show open/closed position of each main contact.

  • Available 120 or 277 V, 60 Hz control.

  • UL Listed to UL508 Industrial Controls.

  • The ASCO Model 641A Lighting Control Panel permits manual and automatic time clock/photocell control of 4, 8, or 12 lighting circuits rated 20 amperes.

  • Ideally suited for automatic and manual ON/OFF  control of parking lot lighting, signs, building exterior and interior safety lighting, and security & recreation lighting areas.

  • In automatic mode, the panel uses a time clock and a remote photocell signal to close the contactor; the time clock opens the contactor at a preset time.

  • Lights can be turned on and off manually without opening panel, by using the H-O-A switch on the front door.

  • 3-position door control switch:
          Manual - contactor contacts closed - lights ON.
          Off - contactor contacts open - lights OFF.
          Automatic - time clock operates contactor at preset time if photocell indicates a need for lighting

  • The Model 641A measures 20"W x 20"H x 8"D in a NEMA 1 enclosure.

  • The ASCO Model 641 S Lighting Control Panel permits manual and automatic photocell-control of 4, 8, or 12 lighting circuits rated 20 amperes.

  • Ideally suited for automatic and manual ON/OFF control of parking lot lighting, signs, building exterior lighting, security lighting, and interior safety lighting.

  • In automatic mode, the panel receives a signal from a remote photocell to open and close the contactor.

  • Lights can be turned on and off manually without opening panel, by using the H-O-A switch on the front door.

  • 3-position door control switch:
          Manual - contactor contacts closed - lights ON.
          Off - contactor contacts open - lights OFF.
          Automatic - photocell operates the contactor

  • The Model 641S measures 12"W x 14"H x 8"D in a NEMA 1 enclosure.

ASCO 641AS LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM

  • For those applications requiring both security and area lighting at one location, the model 641AS Area/Security Lighting Control Panel combines the features and functions of both the 641A and 641S into one panel.

  • There are two independent circuits in this enclosure, each with 4, 8, or 12 lighting circuits rated 20 amperes, and each able to be shut off manually, turned on manually or be set for automatic operation.

  • Combines features and functions of both 641A & 641S.

  • Two independent circuits: one is 641A, other is 641S.

  • Lights can be turned on and off manually without opening panel, by using the H-O-A switches on front door.

  • Two 3-position door control switches:
          Manual - contactor contacts closed - lights ON.
          Off - contactor contacts open - lights OFF.
          Automatic - (same as 641S and 641A)
